Writing is an art I'd been interested in since I was a child.

Reading fuelled my desire
I wanted to read every single piece of book I laid my hands on as a young girl of eight. I was enthralled by the possibilities of seeing places I'd never been to on the pages of books. I knew books held secrets!
Then, I wanted to create my own world and write 'secrets' of my own, hoping an eager reader would pick up my book and take a journey to the places I'd been to in my mind, crafted and kept hidden in the book.
Finding My Voice
As it is with life, I encountered detours which sidetracked me from pursing my passion for word-crafting. I didn't start get back to writing until my encounter with the Lord many years after the dreamy eyed girl had become a woman. My salvation experience, which is my total surrender to God by confessing Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of my life, changed my approach to writing. I learned that I must write as the Lord inspires, and not as my fantasies prompt.
The Spirit of the Lord
As I sought the Lord in prayers, to conceive what and how I should write. I was led to the scripture in the book of Isaiah 61. It became clearer what my writing must represent and I agreed with the Lord. That I am a Kingdom Wordsmith.
Now I confess:
For the Lord has called me and filled me with the Holy Spirit, wisdom, understanding, knowledge and all manners of wordsmithship. To use words to bring men into the knowledge of God. To use words as jewels of gold, silver and precious stones. To deliver the good news of the Lord to the poor, heal the broken hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, open prison gates to the bound, proclaim the acceptable time of the lord to His people. I have been anointed to comfort and console all those who mourn in Zion, to give beauty for ashes, garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. To show men their identity in God as the tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord and for their song to be that of glorifying God!
I believe it and I go as Father said.
How about you?
What has God anointed you for? Believe it, Proclaim it and Live it.
